A Setgraph alternative with no ceiling

A free workout log that does not count what you put into it, and an exercise page for every lift in it.

Last updated 28 August 2026

The awkward thing about a free log is that you only find out where it ends by getting there, usually a few weeks in, with your training already inside it.

This one has no end to find. Nothing counts your sets towards a limit, because there is no paid tier for a limit to be pushing you towards.

Nothing here is capped

No cap on sets. No cap on sessions, exercises, routines or how far back your history goes. No feature that works for a while and then asks you for something.

That is not generosity, it is just the shape of the thing: there is no subscription here, so there is nothing a ceiling could be for. The rest countdown, the history, the notes and the whole exercise library are the product, not a sample of it.

And every lift has a page

This is where the two things stop being the same kind of app. There are 158 exercises here, 123 with a free weight and 35 bodyweight, and each one has a written page and a looping clip.

Each page names the muscle that drives the lift and separates it from the ones that only hold you steady. Most exercise listings run those together into one list of muscles worked, and those are not the same job. A mirror shows you the shape of a lift. It does not show you where the load is going.

Filter the library by 14 muscles, 5 kinds of weight and 3 levels, with the muscle filter matching what drives the lift rather than what steadies it. Start anywhere in the library, or with a kettlebell swing or a dumbbell curl.

Logging, and what happens to it afterwards

Pick a muscle, take the exercises out of it, set your reps and rest, then log each set against a weight. Meet that exercise again and the weight you used last time is already on the screen.

Kilograms climb a quarter at a time to 200, pounds half a pound at a time to 441. Sessions collect on a history screen and stay as you left them, because the database will take a new one and delete an old one but has no permission to change one.

Nothing you log needs a network. The builder keeps your session on the device in your hand, and if you have signed in it goes up afterwards, when there is a connection to go up on.

The rest countdown is just there

Set it once and it runs itself. Three beeps as it empties, a buzz at zero, and no lock screen while a lift or a rest is waiting on you.

The guides name their sources

Eleven written guides handle what comes up across exercises, and no figure on them stands on its own: each one names a paper, an author, a year and an identifier. A citation without a stored paper behind it stops the build.

Try soreness after lifting or how long it takes to build muscle.

Common questions

Is there a limit on how much you can log?
No. There is no cap on sets, sessions, exercises or history, and no counter running in the background towards one. There is no paid tier here for a limit to push you towards.
Is it actually free, or free to start?
Free, with no paid tier at all. Nothing sits behind a subscription, a trial or an upgrade prompt, because there is nothing to sell you. There are no ads either.
What happens to your history over time?
It stays. Every finished session lands on a history screen, and a logged session cannot be quietly rewritten: the database accepts new sessions and deletes them, and refuses edits outright.
Do you need an account?
Not to read any of the 158 exercise pages, and not to use the workout builder, which works signed out and keeps sessions on your own device. An account is optional and only carries your history, starred lifts, notes and unit between devices.
Does it tell you what each lift works?
Yes. Every exercise page names the muscle driving the lift and separates it from the ones that only steady you, which is the reason the library exists.

About this page

Setgraph is a separate product made by Setgraph LLC and this site is not connected to it. It is free to download and sells a Pro membership, listed on the UK App Store at £3.29 a month or £129.99 once, checked on 28 August 2026. Both move, so read their own listing for today's.

Setgraph describes itself as a fast, no-fuss way to track lifts and watch them on graphs, and that is a different product from a library of exercise pages. This page says what this site does and leaves you to compare. The rest of the comparison lane holds itself to the same rules.

Log as much as you like. Nothing is counting.
